Athletics Day...

Athletics Day is tomorrow and I cant wait. There's gonna be a lot of events such as: Relays (Batons), Sprints, High jump, Long Jump, Discus and MY personal favourite Shot Put, I cant wait for Shot Put because we have been doing lots of practice with the people in my age group. What I think I really need to try my hardest on is Sprints, I'm not that good but I think I will do really well, I'll try my hardest and What I think I'm best at is Shot Put (and maybe Discus), I'll have competition in both events being as that everyone wants to win so much. But overall I just really want to have some fun and try my hardest

Coke and Mentos experiment!!!

Friday last week, we did a coke and mentos's volcano. We had to plan everything, here are the steps for what MY group did: Step 1: We had to plan and think of what we were doing, like what we were going to use, how we are going to use it and and where was the best place Step 2: we made all our designs we wrote on the paper what we did first was rolled up a piece of paper and made sure there was a big side and little side so that the little bit could fit over the coke lid and then got two tooth picks and poked them through the paper (so it would hold the mentos's when we put them in) and then Step 3: we got ready and then we went out to go check what place we were going to do it in (in front of the playground) then Step 4: we pulled the 2 tooth picks out and let it rip!!! it didn't really work out how everyone would expect it to, when we pulled them out they got jammed when we pulled the paper away the ones that got stuck flew onto the floor and then only about 2-3 got in (even though 2 or 3 got in it made a pretty big explosion, well for me anyway)...Thanks for reading signing out iGlork

Kapa Haka

Kapa Haka is going really good.  There are too many of us in kapa haka and we had to be split in half, the groups were: The people that have been in kapa haka for quite a while and the one's that haven't. We all are going to be learning heaps of new songs (because we have been split up into groups), which means that our tutor (Sam) can concentrate on us more.
I think that us being split up is a really good idea because we will learn way more songs, we will know more actions and we will have heaps of fun doing it. It will be mean as and it will sound cool when we come back together and we even get to have kapa haka SLEEPOVERS, cool aye..."OI YOU, HURRY UP AND GET BACK INTO LINE" ooh that's me got to go, see yah!!

Instant Alpha Steps

Here are a couple of Steps on how you do Instant Alpha:
FIRST you find a picture on the Internet you want yourself to be in, then drag the picture you want onto the DESKTOP of your computer
SECOND you take a picture (with your camera) on a CLEAR background (behind a white sheet, just something clear, BUT make sure you get only the clear background and the person you are taking the picture of), then you need to download the picture onto IPHOTO (or what ever your downloading thing is for your camera) drag the picture into Pages or Keynote, then you click ALPHA on the top BAR, (this is an optional option...if you take to much of the non-background, then you go onto IPHOTO,  then with the photo you just took, click on it then on the bottom bar you will find all these icons click EDIT then all these OTHER little icons will pop up, you click CROP (and drag all the sides into what you are wanting) to make less of the non-background come in more so it will just be the person in the picture and the clear background...so that is the optional option) and then you drag across the instant alpha mouse key taking out all the clear bits of the photo(making it just you), then get your picture you chose from the internet and drag it into Pages or Keynote (what ever you did it on) and then drag yourself that you did onto the Internet picture and then there you're done (but if the picture you instant alpha'ed is behind the Internet picture, click on it and then COMMAND C then COMMAND V and then there will be another one of you in front and DELETE you from the back of the internet picture, OKAY) and come on do it, you know you wanna!!!...signing out from iGlork
